Anna Savkina

Anna Savkina was born in Bratsk (Siberia) in August 21, 1994. She started playing the violin at the age of five. Already at the first lessons she showed exceptional musical abilities. She won the 2nd Prize in the Violin Competition in Nizhny Novgorod at the age of 7!

In 2005 Ivetta Voronova and Denis Matsuev invited Anna to Moscow for participating in the First International Music Festival «Crescendo», where Mr. Matsuev and «New Names» Foundation presented her the violin.

During the years of training in Bratsk Anna became a winner of several international competitions: in Novosibirsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, Yakutsk and Moscow.

Since 2005 she has been studying in Gnessins’ Special Music School in the class of Prof. of the Sibelius Academy Alexander Vinnitsky. Since 2015 up to now Anna has been studying in Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of People’s Artist of Russian Federation, Prof. Vladimir Ivanov.

In 2006 she participated in the International Music Festival «Moscow Meets Friends» where Maestro Vladimir Spivakov presented her a violin of French violin master.

Anna is the winner of prestigious international competitions such as the International Louis Spohr Competition in Weimar, the Moscow International D.Oistrakh Violin Competition, the Youth Delphic Games of Russia, Heino Eller International Violin Competition, the International Violin Competition Andrea Postacchini and Sendai International Music Competition.
In November 2008, she recorded her first solo CD-ROM with a symphony orchestra, supported by production company RTN ENTERTAINMENT.

In 2008 it was the series of concert tours which gave Anna European fame: solo recitals and symphony concert in Vienna (in the halls of Wiener Konzerthaus and in Gold Hall of Musikverein), Salzburg, Weimar, Kiev, Palermo, Paris, Berlin etc. In July 2008 Anna participated in the XX International Festival of Vladimir Spivakov in Colmar (France). In October of the same year, at the invitation of Vladimir Fedoseyev Anna played together with Daniel Hope and Alexander Knyazev at the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory at the concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of David Oistrakh. In November 2008 Anna took part in master class of Prof. Pinchas Zukerman, where she was invited to training in Canada.

At the age of 14 Anna played her debut performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in the Great Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus and in Salzburg.

Anna participated in various musical festivals such as the International Festival «Crescendo» by Denis Matsuev, the International Festival «Moscow Meets Friends» by Vladimir Spivakov, the International Festival by Vladimir Spivakov in Colmar (France), the International Musical Festival «Stars on Baikal» by Denis Matsuev in Irkutsk, the International Chamber Music Festival by Alexander Rudin, the Homecoming Chamber Music Festival in Moscow, the International Music Festival «Queen Violin» in Moldova, the Yuri Bashmet’s International Winter Art Festival in Sochi.

Anna works with major orchestras under the direction of Vladimir Fedoseyev, Vladimir Spivakov, Vladimir Sirenko, Yuri Bashmet, Alexander Rudin, Vasily Valitov, Jovica Rado, Dumitru Goia, Leonid Nikolaev, Pascal Verrot.
